The CDC maintains a professional staff eager to foster a business-friendly environment and play an active role in retaining and attracting business.

The CDC's economic development expertise has laid the foundation for partnerships between business owners and the City; partnerships that have resulted in first-class projects, which have created employment opportunities and increased sales tax revenues.

The CDC offers many tools to retailers who want to set up shop in West Covina. The CDC can buy and assemble land for resale, provide on and off-site improvements, rehabilitate and retrofit deteriorating structures to new retail trends, facilitate in the entitlement process, and provide financing and relocation assistance.

Every year, the CDC holds the Business Recognition Dinner, a tradition of recognizing local achievements in our community and strengthening relationships between business owners and the City.
