Chris Chung came to West Covina from the City of Pomona where he worked for 10 years in progressively responsible positions, eventually serving as Redevelopment Manager. As Redevelopment Manager, Mr. Chung was responsible for Pomona's eleven (11) redevelopment areas that covered 33 percent of one of the largest cities in Los Angeles County.

Mr. Chung was appointed as Community Development Commission Director in November 1998. As Community Development Commission Director with the City of West Covina, he is responsible for business attraction, business retention and all redevelopment projects. His primary focus at this time is in the Citrus/Workman project next to the Eastland Plaza.

Mr. Chung grew up locally in Hacienda Heights. He holds a degree in Urban Planning from Cal Poly Pomona.
