WORKFORCE SUMMARY

This table represents the number of full-time and part-time staff in the City's workforce. A full-time position is equivalent to 2,922 hours for fire-sworn personnel and 2,080 hours for all other personnel.

Changes in Full Time Staffing:

Community Services:
The account clerk position will be reclassified to senior account clerk in fiscal year 2007-08.

There were several decreases in full-time positions:
community services manager (from three to two), management analyst (from three to two), and community services coordinator (from two to one). However, the recreation services supervisor position increased from one to three. These changes combined resulted in one less full-time position for the department.

Environmental Mgmt:
One administrative assistant II position has been reinstated.

Fire:
Increased fire protection specialist from one to two positions. However, in fiscal year 2006-07 the funding will be for six months only.

Finance:
The computer programmer/analyst is no longer an authorized position. Three account clerk positions are reclassified to senior account clerk.

Planning:
Added one senior planner position.

Police:
Added two senior software developers and two software developers in the West Covina Services Group. The part-time victim advocate has been authorized to be a full-time position.

Public Works:
Added one civil engineering assistant position.
