WEST COVINA WELCOMES ONE OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S LARGEST NISSAN AUTO DEALERSHIPS
WEST COVINA, CA - The City of West Covina, the West Covina Community Development Commission, and Sage Automotive Group are pleased to announce yesterday's Grand Opening of West Covina Nissan, located at 205 N. Citrus Street.

The dealership is located at the corner of Citrus and Workman and is a portion of the 8.6-acre "Citrus Workman" development that was assembled by the Community Development Commission. The "Citrus Workman" project began in 1996, in an effort to promote the redevelopment of a shopping center.

In December 2004, the Community Development Commission approved a Disposition and Development Agreement with McIntyre Companies for a two-phased development that will significantly impact the City's economy. Phase I includes the construction West Covina Nissan, owned and operated by the Sage Automotive Group, Phase II of the development will include a commercial retail adjacent to West Covina Nissan along Workman Avenue.

West Covina Nissan was developed through the collaborative efforts of the City of West Covina, the West Covina Community Development Commission, Sage Automotive Group, and Nissan North American, Inc.

West Covina Nissan is a first class new and used auto dealership, that includes a 50,500 square foot building with a 3,500 square feet show room, a service area with 37 service bays, and a two-level 49,678 square foot parking structure. Nissan estimates that the new West Covina dealership will generate approximately $1 million in annual sales tax revenue, and approximately $160,000 in annual tax increment revenue to the City. The auto dealership is also expected to create 200 new full and part time jobs.
