WEST COVINA FEATURING THE #1 24-HR FITNESS ACTIVE CLUB IN NATION
WEST COVINA, CA - SHP Capital LP., 24-Hr Fitness, the City of West Covina, and the West Covina Community Development Commission are pleased to announce the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday January, 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the opening of the 24-Hr Fitness at the South Hills Plaza located at 1422 S. Azusa Ave., West Covina, California. In addition, 24-Hr Fitness will be hosting all day festivities from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. including: tour of the club, membership sign-ups, and a raffle.

Since 2005, the South Hills Plaza has been undergoing major modifications, starting with the property owner, South Hills Plaza Capital, investing approximately $1 million to renovate the facade, landscaping, lighting, signage and parking lot of the center. South Hills Plaza Capital and the Community Development Commission ("CDC") have been aggressively marketing the newly renovated center to potential tenants.

One of several new tenants to the center is a 24-Hr Fitness club. The 24-Hr Fitness started construction in May of 2007 and opened its doors for business November 16, 2007. The CDC provided 24-Hr Fitness entitlement assistance in facilitating the construction of the new club.

The South Hills Plaza 24-Hr Fitness is West Covina's second 24-Hr Fitness and is the #1 Active Club in the nation featuring the most up-to-date/upgraded equipment. This state of the art facility features free weights, cardio equipment, group exercise and a kids club. The club has created approximately 75 new jobs.
