The West Covina Street Festival and Farmers' Market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the NEW loacation - West Covina Parkway/Westfield Shoppingtown, between Firestone Tires and Margarita Jones.
Summer "stone fruits" available at the Farmers' Market include peaches, cherries, plums, etc. Also appearing soon at the market are tomatoes, corn on the cob, and delicious, ripe melons. Strawberries are still in abundance at the market. Each week the market features beautiful fresh-cut flowers, mouth-watering breads, fresh honey and the unique and wonderful Kettle Korn.
In addition to the freshest produce and edibles, the festival features a wide variety of crafts and unique gifts. Bird houses of many shapes and sizes, herbal soaps, hand-painted pottery and herbal health products are just a few of the selections. As a complement to the shopping experience, live pop and folk music is now playing weekly.
"The West Covina Street Festival and Farmers' Market is one of the best things going in the City," said Manager Jerry Dahlberg. "We have customers who have come out every Saturday since we opened over five years ago we see new faces each week. Kids love the music, colors, and delicious smells. Adults love the whole thing! We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the experience.
